Description
A heavy, dark metal door sits recessed within a deteriorating brick façade, its surface absorbing most of the light. Near the top, a small grid of square windowpanes reflects pale daylight and bare tree branches from outside, offering the only hint of what lies beyond. Surrounding bricks are fractured and misaligned, with chunks missing and mortar eroded, while vines and grime creep across the surface. The doorway feels both closed off and watchful—an intact threshold embedded in an otherwise collapsing structure. Pennsylvania.
